  • Interested in seeing vermicomposting in action? Amanda can help set up a system right in your classroom, allowing students to observe and learn about this fascinating process over time. Leaving a vermicompost system for ongoing observation is optional.

Amanda’s background in soil science (M.Sc. and B.S.A.) complements her enthusiasm for teaching and environmental advocacy. She believes vermicomposting is an exciting intersection of soil, environment, community, and curiosity—a belief she loves to share with young minds.

What is the cost?

Worm Wrangler has some flexibility with the cost structure for educational experiences. Classroom and homeschool groups often start at $75 + tax per visit. For School trips, Worm Wrangler most often requires a minimum of three classrooms in a day. These can be different grade levels connecting with different curricula.

This cost includes:

  • Instruction for 20 – 45 min as appropriate for content and student age level
  • Worms and soil samples for students to explore during the presentation as agreed upon in planning
  • Worm wrangler stickers or temporary tattoos for students to take home

Leaving worms and/or vermicompost bin(s) are available at additional cost. For presentations over about one hour drive from Kitchener may be subject to additional travel charge.
