Worm Wrangler is a Kitchener small business with 2 Krakens (Declan 12U and Kieran, 10U and 12U). We specialize in composting with help from earthwroms (called vermicomposting) as a way to support soil health. We breed and sell composting worms and sell vermicolmpost and specially (and sustainably) formulated potting soil. What to get from Worm Wrangler:
Potting Soil: Worm Wrangler potting soil is formulated with coco coir (rather than environmentally damaging peat), vermicompost and biochar. This is great for starting seeds and re-potting house plants directly.
Vermicompost (Worm Castings): This is a fine compost that is used as a slow-relase fertilier and probiotic for your soil. Mix it into other potting soils when starting seeds, add some directly to the root zone as you transplant into a garden or re-pot houseplants and broadcast into a garden.
Coco Coir: This is ground up coconut shells. It comes as a dried, comporessed brick and fluffs up to about 5x it’s volume when it is wetted. It is a great alternative to peat moss, which is damaging to extract from our wetlands.
