Red wigglers are the most commonly used vermicompost worm for a reason… they are the most tolerant of the widest range of conditions (ie. the most forgiving). If you are new to vermicomposting, start with these hungry helpers!
Our Red Wiggler Compost Worms (Eisenia Fetida) are just what you need for vermicomposting. These live worms will quickly arrive at your doorstep and can be used to enhance your composting game. But what are Red Wiggler Worms, you ask? They’re composting worms also known as vermicomposting worms which are not found in the Canadian environment. You can add these worms to your compost worm bin and let them work their magic on your organic waste, turning it into nutrient-rich soil amendment called vermicompost.

Ordered 1lb and picked up in person.
I’m extremely thankful I did as I got to meet Amanda and she answered every question I could think of. Great works at a fair price and the opportunity to meet and discuss things with the owner.
I will definitely be back when I need to add more worms to my setup.
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions.

Patrick!
Yes, I can ship at this time of year. I’ve got packaging that will keep your worms well protected.
I guarantee live delivery, so if something goes terribly awry, I’ll send you a fresh batch.

Question met yo7 at the Hamilton Seedy Saturday and now just getting started . how many worms do I need for a tray style worm composter that holds “6 gallons” ?
Amanda –
Hey! I’m glad I got to see you in Hamilton!
1/4 lb is a good start for a simple set up. Feed what they’re eating (rather than what you’d like them to be eating) and grow your setup with your worm population.
